About Mrs. Stephanie
Hello there! My name is Stephanie. I am the Lead Teacher, and Founder of The Magic of Wonder. I am an early childhood educator and art teacher with a passion for teaching young children, supporting their development, and promoting creativity. I have my associate's in applied arts and science for Early Childhood Education, and 9 years of experience in a professional setting. I have always loved working with children, and I value creating a fun, safe, creative, and stimulating environment for them to grow and learn in. I have 3 amazing children of my own, ages 9, 2, and brand new! As well as a super cool, and very supportive husband. I spend most of my free time with my loving family, but I also enjoy reading, learning, baking, and creating! I have started the Magic of Wonder to offer a space where children and their families feel part of a safe, happy, and welcoming community. A place where children feel welcome and encouraged to express their creativity, individuality, and their natural curiosity. I look forward to welcoming you into the Magic of Wonder.
Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, stimulating, fun, and creative space for children to learn and grow. We value individuality, creativity, curiosity, and inclusion. Our mission is for all children and their families to feel like they belong to a supportive and caring community. We provide a child-centered daycare designed to meet the educational, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of your children.
Philosophy
We believe that each child is a unique and capable individual. We believe teachers, families, and communities working together to cultivate their creativity, confidence, independence, and ambition will create self-sufficient, caring, intrinsically motivated, independent thinkers, problem solvers, and lifelong learners. It is my passion to work with families to cultivate the habits of mind and to nurture their aspects of character. It takes a team of families, teachers, and community members to create an environment that allows children to grow and learn at their fullest potential.
We believe that children learn through play, interaction, socialization, and modeled behavior. Students need a stimulating, safe, comfortable, fun, and magical place to learn and grow. We are strong advocates for hands-on play-based learning. We believe that children learn best in an environment that nurtures their natural curiosity, that curriculum planning should always be evolving, and that lessons and activities should arise from student wonder. Through thoughtful and individualized planning, students can learn about the world in a fun, fulfilling, and effective way.
We are dedicated to being a part of the foundational structure of a child’s life and to making a positive impact for their future. We hope to create an inclusive, loving, fun, and exciting learning experience for all students. Our classroom is a place of acceptance and security, and it is my hope that students and families can learn, grow, and feel welcome.
